Southern-style beef chili, served over tender potatoes and enhanced with Knorr® Professional Beef Gravy, creates a hearty and comforting dish. Preparation

  1. Prepare The Chili

    • In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
    • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
    • Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to toast the spices.
    • Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
    • Follow Knorr® Professional Beef Gravy Packet Instructions then add to beef mixture.
    • Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better the flavors will meld.
  2. Prepare the Baked Potatoes

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pierce them several times with a fork.
    • Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Serve

    • Split the baked potatoes open and fluff the insides with a fork.
    • Ladle the chili over the baked potatoes.
