Preparation

  1. Marinating the chicken

    240 minutes
    • In a large container, combine all the marinade ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 4-24 hours.
    • Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until fully cooked and slightly browned, about 7-8 minutes. Cook in batches if necessary.
    Marinate the chicken for at least 12 hours to enhance flavor and tenderness. Searing on high heat ensures a juicy, well-charred result.
  2. Preparing the Tzatziki sauce

    5 minutes
    • In a small bowl, mix all the Tzatziki sauce ingredients until well combined.
  3. Assembling the pitas

    10 mninutes
    • To assemble the pitas, spread Tzatziki sauce on each warmed pita. Top with cooked chicken, cucumber, tomato, red onion, and fresh dill. Serve immediately.
