For something sweet, venture into Que Bo Chocolates owned by José Ramón Castillo. José sources local ingredients for his bonbons, he brings in the Mexican Culture influences and turns it into delicious little morsels. The cacao is sourced from small independent farms which is then processed from bean to bar in the shop. José makes 50 flavors or items of chocolate, one of the most authentic is the Pimentas, or the Mexican toy shaped chocolates. The flavors change according to the seasonal fruits available. Flavors of chocolate include: guava, different types of banana, tamarind provides the acid in the chocolates, chipotle in September which is smokey.
